This Princess Bride Westley costume, shirt, pants, sash, mask, head scarf, and gloves, is how you tell that same story, minus the twenty years apart and the occasional bout of near-death.
Details and Design
This licensed costume faithfully recreates the look of the deadly Dread Pirate Roberts, right down to a reinforced eye mask built to hold up to a full night of wear. The black pullover shirt has a laced V placket and gathered shoulders, paired with slim-fit black pants and an elastic waistband. The sash, head scarf, and gloves finish the look.
A couple of fit notes worth knowing. The pants run true to the size chart but have very little stretch, so if you've got muscular or athletic legs, sizing up gives you more room than the chart alone might suggest. The head scarf ties as you like, but its fabric runs slippery, a bobby pin or two underneath keeps it secure for a full night out.
Care & Fit: The poly/cotton blend feels more like real clothing than a typical costume, and it holds up well over repeated wear. The pants have a slim, fitted cut through the thighs by design, with an elastic waistband for some give, so if you've got muscular or athletic legs, sizing up is worth considering. Hand wash gently and hang dry.
