You get an invite to your best friend’s trunk show, and you can’t wait; a perfect excuse to break out your favorite outfit!
But when you show up, your are shocked to find out that a trunk show is not, as you assumed, a parade of people dressed in elephant costumes (though that would be our natural assumption, too) but rather a sought-after sales event set up to parade select merchandise to select customers. We can’t blame the shoppers for being tickled pink by your gray velour jumpsuit and tufted tail. But it is the hood, with its majestic stuffed trunk, tusks, and ears that is drawing the most attention. When you do a little dance in front of your pal’s booth, her sales double!
